Dear Stallholder,

The Heyfield Wetlands is fundraising for a public toilet block to be constructed at the Wetlands. We have been given quotes of just over $100,000 for this to be completed. We have managed to raise just over $17,000 but our goal is to run a fundraising campaign to get this completed as soon as possible.  

On the back of last year's sucessful twilight events, We will host markets on the First Friday night of November December and January. We have also moved our markets from the wetlands to the Gordon Street Reserve (Heyfield Footy Oval) and will cradle the outside of the footy oval, This will allow us to utilise the flood lights and toilets .We have also aquired a liquor licence and will be running a bar, and welcome buskers to markets.

We will not accept stallholders on the day who have not completed their application or paid their fees in advance.

Please bear in mind that we are a volunteer organisation and would welcome those who are able to assist us with setting up and packing down of the market. 

Public Liability Insurance Cover: A copy of your own policy (minimum $20,000,000) must accompany your completed application for market stall form. This $20 Million cover is a requirement of the Wellington Shire Council and therefore not negotiable. The original policy is to be displayed within the stall during the festival. Please note we need to have a copy of your certificate of currency not the renewal notice. If your not sure please contact your insurer direct.

Food Stall Holders: Please provide a copy of your current Food Act Registration certificate to us. You are also required to log a Statement of Trade electronically by logging on to streatrader@health.vic.gov.au. Please also attach a copy with your application.

Powered sites: market sites are unpowered. There is a limited amount of outlets on the generator for FOOD VANS ONLY so you will need to notify us early to improve your chance of obtaining one of these sites.

***All electrical leads must be tested and tagged. Untested leads will be disconnected immediately.***

Covid safe plans: a copy of your Covid safe plan must accompany the application. Whilst I understand this may not be currently necessary I would rather err of the side of caution and have these competed anyway. I don’t want to have to shut down a market unnecessarily because these have not been completed in the event of another outbreak. I have attached a basic template that you can modify as required.
